I am a permaculture gardener with a particular interest in gardens that serve the health needs of those that pass through them. I believe that activating the urban commons can be beautiful, delicious, healthful, holistic and democratizing. I teach about the intersections between the creative, informational and living commons at the University of California Santa Cruz. Sometimes I make art. I write. I am always making tinctures.
